If you are looking for therapy

Does my therapist have to be licensed in my state?

Yes. A therapist can only work with you if they hold a license in the state where you are physically located during your session, regardless of where they live. This is why the directory is organized by state first.

What does the verified badge mean?

We checked that license against the issuing state board on the date shown on the profile. It is not a judgment about clinical quality or fit.

Do you charge me anything?

No. Therapists pay to be listed. You pay your therapist directly, and we never take a cut of your sessions.

How do I book?

Every profile links straight to that therapist’s own booking page. We do not sit in the middle, we do not take your details first, and we do not pass your information to anyone.

Why are so few states covered?

Because we are new. We would rather show you an honest short list than fifty pages of empty results dressed up as coverage.

What if nobody is listed in my state?

Join the waitlist and we will tell you when that changes. In the meantime, our article on verifying a therapist’s license works on any directory you use.

Why are there no client reviews?

Because they cannot be done honestly here. Ethics codes bar therapists from soliciting client testimonials, and confidentiality means a therapist cannot respond to a review, or even confirm someone was ever their client. A review section on a therapy directory is a one-way wall dressed up as transparency. We verify the thing that can actually be checked, the license, and some profiles carry peer endorsements from other verified therapists, in their own names.

If you are a therapist

What does it cost?

Thirty dollars a month at the founding rate, which is the lowest it will ever be. It will go up for people who join later, and we will tell you well before anything changes for you.

Will you send me clients?

We will not promise that. See the honesty section on the For Therapists page for exactly where the directory stands today.

What do you need to verify me?

License type, number, issuing state, and expiration date. We verify against the state board’s public lookup, so there is no document upload.

Can I list in multiple states?

Yes, at no extra cost. Each license is verified separately and you appear on each of those state pages.

Can I edit my own profile?

Not yet. Send changes and we make them, usually within a day. Self-serve editing is on the roadmap and is not pretending to be there now.

What if I take on an office?

Then this is not the right directory for you, and we will help you leave. Online-only is the entire premise, and the moment it stops being true the badge stops meaning anything.
