What this directory is

Remote Psychotherapists is a paid listing service. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not provide medical or clinical advice, and using this site does not create a therapist-client relationship with anyone. Choosing a therapist, booking, and everything that follows happens directly between you and that therapist.

Listings are paid

Therapists pay a monthly fee to be listed. Payment buys a listing, not a result: it does not affect verification, ordering, or anything else about how a profile appears. There is no featured placement or paid ranking for sale to anyone.

Verification

Verification confirms a license was active and in good standing against the issuing state board's public record on the date shown. It is a point-in-time check, not an ongoing guarantee, and not an endorsement of clinical quality or a recommendation of any therapist. A license can lapse or be disciplined after we check it, which is why the date is published and why we re-check before each expiration.

Subscriptions and removal

Listings renew monthly and can be canceled at any time; a canceled profile comes down at the end of the period paid for. A profile whose license expires without a confirmed renewal comes down until it is re-verified. We may remove a listing that misrepresents its credentials or stops being online-only, since both break the premise the directory sells.

Accuracy

Profile content beyond the license record is written by the therapist and is their own description of their practice. We publish the tools to check the license yourself and think you should use them.
